SnapMap is a built-in modding tool that will ship with Doom. Technically speaking, players can utilize the game's new SnapMap feature to create their own co-op experiences. This lack of co-op is disappointing, but all hope is not yet lost for those yearning to team up with friends to fight the demonic hordes of Doom together. This time around, the campaign will be a strictly single-player experience, but Stratton did offer hope that sequels could potentially feature co-op. By and large, Doom looked very impressive at E3, but it has now been announced that a feature many assumed to be a virtual guarantee is not included in the game.ĭespite the fact that classic Doom titles embraced cooperative gameplay, Marty Stratton of id Software has confirmed to PC Gamer that the new Doom will not have campaign co-op. The new Doom is a game firmly rooted in the tradition of classic shooters, despite enjoying many perks of the new generation, particularly gorgeous graphics that allow for some of the most detailed and horrifically awesome gore in a video game to date. The extremely violent gameplay reveal trailer had jaws hitting the floor the world over, as Bethesda offered the world the first glimpses at the brand new Doom campaign. While Bethesda's E3 2015 press conference was largely dominated by and remembered for Fallout 4, the exciting Doom reboot also managed to turn some heads.
